Starting life as National Allied Publications in 1934, DC Comics would go on to become one of the biggest companies operating within the comic book industry. DC are heavily credited for introducing superheroes into popular culture with Action Comics #1 and Superman. Since then their catalogue has grown to include a host of other iconic characters including The Flash, Wonder Woman and of course Batman. As well as a legendary gallery of Heroes, DC are also known for their incredible line-up of villains including the Clown Prince himself, The Joker.
